Born and raised in Jacksonville, Shirley would feed anyone that came to her door. Known for her home cooking and infectious laugh, she showed her love through food. Inspired by her generosity, Shirley’s daughter and granddaughters saw a growing need in their community and founded Shirley’s Kitchen Food Bank. 

At Shirley’s Kitchen & Food Bank, our mission is to feed bellies and nourish souls by providing nutritious meals, compassionate support, and a welcoming community where every person is valued, uplifted, and given hope.

Shirley’s Kitchen goes wherever the need is, providing nutritious meals and groceries to anyone facing food insecurity. From prepared meals and non-perishable staples for the homeless to grocery deliveries for families, Shirley’s Kitchen continues her legacy of love and nourishment by feeding bellies and nourishing souls.
